Planned: a fun night out with the husband (one of the few we ever have) while Mom and Dad watch the twins.
Not planned: husband deciding we need to exchange gifts.
The problem: Logan needs, nor wants anything! Seriously, everything I pick out for him (after weeks of thoughtful consideration) is just another something he feigns excitement for. I've got nothing- nada! Why is it so hard?! I'm easy to shop for- I want a lot of stuff!
So I'm taking suggestions- any random suggestions- as to what I should get the husband for Valentines. Socks? Flowers? Duct Tape? Throw whatever out there. I need the help!
I know your dilemma- VERY well- Ryan always goes out and buys the stuff he needs/wants himself! So one year Ryan bought me this horrible giant lizard- a Valentine's stuffed animal lizard- awful- so now it's a game to see how can outdo each other in the hideous stuffed animals dept. We neve spend more than $7 because hi, we give them to the dog afterwards to destroy- it's fun to see what we get for each other. Also is there a Wii game he wants? maybe- if all else fails give him something from Victoria's secret or Fredericks- I always do- it's not for him to wear but for him to enjoy;) Yup- sex always works! If nothing comes to mind- give him YOUR favorite cologne, shirt, shower gel- whatever- it's for him, but for you to enjoy! This year, I'm just surprising Ryan with Sweetharts and a card in his car- and then the stuffed animal- then we'll probably go to dinner/movie whatever
ReplyDeleteA Valentine's Day Lizard! Perfecto!
ReplyDeleteAnd maybe that CD I've been drooling over... a happy wife makes for a happy life! Thanks, Lace!
logan is like my mom! neither one of them is good at just being happy with what they get. my dad gave up years ago and just asks my mom for a list whenever he has to get her something. it takes the fun out of it, but, like dad says, at least he gets a happy wife out of it! and i dunno what to get logan; i would say get him the most hideous tie you can find. he'll probably love it.
ReplyDeleteHey Ashley, I wish I had to come to Vegas more often. If we ever get out there again we'll give you all a call. ps. cute kids. Tell Logan hello for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with a knife. Some cool thing he can keep in his pocket or use when no one can find the scissors. My husband likes anything that is sharp, the bigger the better..He's weird!
ReplyDeleteI have this same problem...my husband never wants anything. And we've found that since we've gotten married Valentine's Day has slowly turned into simply going out to dinner...romantic, not so much! So this year a few friends of mine decided we would suprise our husbands and take them on a getaway. We're taking them out to breakfast, and then to a cabin for the rest of the weekend. We've planned yummy meals, activities, and other stuff too. So now I don't have to buy him something because the trip is the gift! Maybe you could do the same...a night away? Good Luck with Logan.
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time spending money on a little holiday like valentines day...maybe that's just me. Last year I was trying to be frugal, so I wrote him a letter and it had 101 reasons why I loved him. It was so fun for me to think of that many things...some were funny, some were serious, some were romantic. He LOVED it and every once in a while I'll catch him pulling it out of the drawer and re-reading it.
