As you can tell, Lexi has had some issues lately. One of the more recent issues? When I click the doors to unlock, only three of the four unlock. The back passenger door doesn't open the first time. (or at least I've only noticed this door to be the culprit) This has become very annoying. Very. Having to hit the "unlock" button twice in my day? I don't think so.
So I was contemplating taking the dang car down to a mechanic... having a heated conversation about how it never worked (but would, of course, work whenever mechanicy guy does it)... but I decided to do my own investigation first. (because my vast mechanical knowledge can fit in a pamphlet... although probably not front to back)
It turns out (after lots of clever deduction) that after I unlock the doors and walk around to the other side of the car, a mischievous toddler kicks at the side of the door, switching the manual lock, and thus locking me out.
... I'm so glad I figured this out before an undoubtedly humiliating trip to the mechanic... Thanks, girls.
Ha! That's so clever! What little stinkers, they would be very good accomplices for Carter. Glad you didn't end up at the dealer. Although that just might have taken the story to the NEXT level.... ha!
