Clearly, I simply don't have enough to do! I must be downright bored! I've been staring at this... um... dated? Ugly? Dresser? And its sheer presence mocks me. I had so many plans for it. I didn't get it "rehabbed" before Little Man arrived. I decided this morning that was all going to change. I zipped into Lowes and grabbed some spraypaint. It is all disassembled in my garage. And that spraypaint is not working. Oh so patchy! But I am determined! Here is the before picture. Drink in the ugly:
This will be white, sleek, and look completely different! BY THE END OF THE DAY! Yes. Yes it will.
6:12 update: I know, it's getting close to the end of the day. First coat is on- and it's a bit... textured? I think I have the absolute wrong tools. But I refuse to go back to the store. Not with three kids in tow. I've done it twice today, and I will not do it thrice. The texture will just be... part of the aesthetics if need be.
7:21 update: Last coat! Done! And while I could have this all wrapped up in a nice little bow, holding folded baby clothes tonight, I've decided that I'll let the paint dry overnight before drilling in the new pulls and dragging the thing upstairs. I just keep having visions of getting semi-wet paint everywhere. Here is what it looks like currently. There were some great "bones" to this dresser. The quite modern, minimal hardware will look great. I'm very excited.

Can't wait to see the final product. I am overhaulling Jake's room right now...so much fun!
